Sol Kyung Gu and Hong Kyung will possibly lead a new film

Sol Kyung Gu and Hong Kyung are both in talks to join the new film by director Byun Sung Hyun.

On May 27, media outlets reported that Sol Kyung Gu and Hong Kyung will be director Byun Sung Hyun’s main leads in his new film titled Good News (tentative title). 

Good News will reportedly base its story on a plane crash. According to reports, the upcoming movie will begin filming in August. 

Director Byun Sung Hyun is known for creating the films Kill Bok Soon, Kingmaker, The Merciless, and My P.S. Partner. 

According to reports, aside from Sol Kyung Gu and Hong Kyung, actor Ryu Seung Beom will also join the cast. 

Good News will reportedly premiere through a global OTT platform. The upcoming movie will be produced by Star Platinum. 

If Sol Kyung Gu confirms his casting, this will be his fourth time working with director Byun Sung Hyun. The two worked together in the movies Kill Bok Soon, Kingmaker, and The Merciless.

Last year, Sol Kyung Gu starred in several films such as A Normal Family, The Moon, Phantom, and more. 

This year, the top actor will also make his grand return to K-dramas with The Whirlwind and Hyper Knife. 

Meanwhile, this will possibly be the second upcoming film of Hong Kyung. The actor will also star in the upcoming movie Hear Me: Our Summer with Roh Yoon Seo and Kim Min Ju. 

Hong Kyung will also star in the upcoming K-drama Concrete Market together with Lee Jae In, Yoo Soo Bin, Kim Gook Hee, Choi Jung Woon, and Jung Man Shik.

Last year, Hong Kyung also impressed everyone with his performance in the hit K-drama Revenant. He showed great chemistry with the casts Kim Tae Ri, Oh Jung Se, Kim Won Hae, Park Ji Young, Yang Hye Ji, and more.
